District Coverage
The district covers the western half of RiNo, assessing commercial and residential properties to fund infrastructure on Brighton Blvd and the surrounding riverfront corridor.

A District Built for the Community

The RiNo General Improvement District (GID) is a special tax district focused on public realm enhancements within its statutory area. It enables property owners, artists, residents, and creatives to collectively plan, fund, and implement lasting public infrastructure improvements.

The GID was established to support physical infrastructure improvements on RiNo's westside — from enhancements to Brighton Blvd and new sidewalks to improvements to the riverfront. Revenue is generated by assessing commercial and residential properties primarily in the western half of RiNo's boundaries.

The GID board is designed to reflect the unique character of RiNo, maintaining a mix of artists, creatives, property owners, and residents to ensure that the voices shaping the district represent the full range of people who live and work here.
